Ah the life of an IT Manager...

Well, it's Saturday and I'm at work. Why am I at work you ask? Because I am an IT Manager and that is what we do. Late nights for system updates, weekends for hardware migrations, and of course Saturdays for server crashes. Fortunately it is not a system critical server, it is just a server that I have at a co-location facility in New York. This is good and bad, the bad is that I don't have physical access to the server to trouble shoot it. Yes, I have SSH, Webmin and RDP access to it, but when it locks up, those are worthless. The good news, I get to setup my new blog while I am waiting for the tech to call me back. I believe this is my third blog I have started, lets just say the other two didn't go so well. I was awesome for the first post or two... well you know how that goes. It kind of reminds me of my New Years Resolution every year to keep a journal. At least my posterity will know what was going on in my life from January 1 - January 4 every year of my adult life. Anyway, I hope to post downloads and info about the projects I'm working on, any utility apps that I write and so on. Hopefully, you will see more posts in the near future. If you are reading this right now, you know better than I do how my blog "resolution" is going.
